Burndy Y46LWSBH has superseded the Y46 HYPRESS remotely operated 10,000psi hydraulic crimp head provides 15 tons of crimp force with a “C” shaped head to allow easy placement and removal from continuous connectors. Dies and adapters lock into place via push button die locks in this forged steel and precision machined head. Y46C is available with rubber molding for impact protection of head, lower body and coupling, and Y46-2 is available with a female coupler (call for pricing and lead time). Designed for Cu terminals, splices and taps 8-1500 kcmil, Al terminals and splices 8-1250 kcmil and ACSR applications. Accepts “P” series and “U” series (with PUADP-1 adapter) dies. 5 year limited warranty. The Y46C does the same function; it just has a cover on it.
